Message of Gratitude from Recipients
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude to the many corporate and private donors to the scholarship.
The recipients of the Tatsunoko Scholarship have expressed their appreciation and thanks for the support provided by the donors in the following messages.
Representing all of the Tatsunoko Scholarship recipients, I would like to thank all of the donors of the program. We owe our graduation from schools and universities that led to employment and to advancement into institutions of higher learning with outstanding academic performance to your cooperation and support. Also, we were able to attend the first reunion for the Akimoto Tatsunoko International Scholarship Foundation, thanks to your continuing interest and contribution. The current scholarship students will eventually become active members of society and are certain to develop further in Japan, their home countries or in the world at large. I am convinced of this potential and am determined to advance forward alongside other Tatsunoko Scholarship students and not to betray the trust and hopes of all the parties who have supported us.
(Choi Min, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies)
I would like to express my gratitude for the patronage and support provided by the donors of Tatsunoko Scholarship.
With your warm support, the Tatsunoko Scholarship students were able to move forward, without being frustrated by obstacles and hardships, and work toward realization of their dreams. We have been able to work actively every day, concentrating on our studies and research with greater energy and deliver outstanding academic performances.
From now on, the Tatsunoko Scholarship students will graduate from universities and become active members in various segments of society, while at the same time taking advantage of their precious experiences together with the donors here in Japan. When we should eventually return to our home countries, I believe that we will be able to meet your expectations by devoting all of our energies into service of bridging Japan with other countries in the area of academic communication.
(Sun Minhua, University of Tokyo)
I would like to express my thanks for the donations for the students of the Tatsunoko Scholarship program.
Although your support is not likely to take form in the immediate future, the students under the program are certain to be active members in various areas of society and develop into individuals who are able to serve as bridge in international exchange. Also, I am certain that they will take pride in being Tatsunoko Scholarship recipients. The support you have given us is certain to spread into the world in a wide range of form.
As Tatsunoko Scholarship recipients, we intend to look to our donors as model and eventually return the honor and assistance in the event that we become full, active members of society. I sincerely ask your cooperation not only for the Tatsunoko Scholarship students today but also for the many more students who are expected to come to Japan in the future.
(Song Changsuk, University of Tokyo Graduate School)
I am tremendously honored and pleased to see so much donation received for the Tatsunoko Scholarship program. For this, I thank you most deeply and sincerely.
With your warm support, we have received warm motivation and energy. Thank you very much.
With your support, we intend to work hard at our studies and to advance further in development. In order to meet your expectations, I am determined to pursue studies with greater energy, remembering at all times my pride and conviction as a Tatsunoko Scholarship student.
Thank you once again, and I look forward to your continuing support.
(Yu Shiau-Chiou, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Graduate School)
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the donors for the many contributions given to Tatsunoko Scholarship.
Your warm support has been a great stimulus for us, providing peace of mind for us, both mentally and financially, enabling us to concentrate in our studies and research. We are deeply indebted to you for this assistance. In addition, we are able to continue pursuing our dreams.
Also, we have been able to gain very valuable experience in the exchange with other scholarship students and our donors while interacting and learning about Japanese history, culture and traditions.
For us, the Tatsunoko Scholarship program is the recognition of our effort at academic advancement and an expression of the great expectations toward the scholarship recipients to become important members in various areas of society. We take this to heart in earnest and believed that working harder all the more and to eventually succeed in our respective areas will translate into meeting expectations of our donors.
After we leave academic studies, we intend to work with pride as Tatsunoko Scholarship recipients and advance steadily in our respective careers.
(Xialihaer, University of Electro-Communications Graduate School)

We plan to work harder with pride and conviction as Tatsunoko Scholarship recipients, even when we face obstacles and problems in the days ahead.
